It's indeed very adorable. Many animals are much more interesting when seen in real life. For example I see kangaroos and giraffes all the time in TV, but I'm really amazed each time I see them in the zoo. Fantasy creatures aren't more unusual
That's very true. I was in awe when I saw giraffes in Berlin zoo. I think the same would go for elephants or kangaroos too, I've actually never seen those in real life. The Helsinki zoo doesn't have them sadly and I don't remember seeing them in Berlin either. I really wish to see an elephant in real life one day. And yes I don't really get why some people dream of seeing fantasy animals, we have some really bizarre and facinating real animals on the Earth already.
Oh, right, I forgot to mention elephants. All the three species are in Warsaw and I think they are in most of Polish zoos. In my city there are many species, that's true, but the zoo itself doesn't look as I'd like it to, I prefer the other ones. The one in Berlin is very nice. I'd like to see more wild cats - there are two young snow leopards now in Warsaw, but they are still hidden. To me they look so amazing that I don't need any prettier fantasy animals
I don't think there are any elephants or giraffes in any finnish zoos sadly, I guess cause most of the year it's too cold for them to go outside here, and they would have to spend most of the year indoors, which is not good. Yeah I agree snow leopards are amazing. Helsinki zoo has 3 cubs too right now, also still hidden.
I think it's a nice zoo, definately worth a visit! They have two red pandas, but the other one was inside so I only saw this one. This one was on the move the whole time so gave me lots of opportunities for action shots. I wish I knew it's name though, there was no info about any of the animals' names in the zoo and can't be found in their website either. Maybe they just don't give names to their animals.
Thank you! I love your shots of Mei Ling. I wasn't able to get any good portraits like that.
